MIA is in two new videos out this week.
In the first, she is part of a set piece, along with Nicki Minaj, that Madonna has added into her latest video in an effort to gain some credibility and cool. The video is such an abortion and so patently uncool that I won’t even link it here. Seriously, don’t even bother trying to find it.
This video, on the other hand, oozes cool and style, at least for me. It reunites Romain Gavras and MIA after their extremely awesome and extremely controversial “Born Free” video where they genocided some cute gingers. This video is beautifully shot, feels super fresh (a common MIA theme, even though that freshness has a half-life of about 2 weeks), and is just interesting. Check it out.
